 For Members

1  Each GEN members is eligible to access one library card for each organization or TRP.

2  For the member organization, library card will be provided to the focal person of the organization.

3  You are allowed borrowing two books with a library card for maximum seven days. You can extend next seven days if there is no order request to borrow the books. However, you are required to make extension in person at the library.

5  You are provided to utilize Desktop Computers at the Library and you are allowed to use for 3 hours straight.

6  In case any of the item inside the library being damaged, or destroyed, the person who responsible is required to pay for the cost of the damaged/destroyed item.

7  You are provided coffee, tea and water for free of charge while using the library.

8  If you want to print or take the soft copy from the library’s Computer, it is required to request to the staff of the Resource Center.

9  Memory sticks and External Hard-drives are not allowed to insert to the library’s computer. In cause, you insert your own Memory sticks and External Hard-drives to the library’s computer without informing the staff of the Resource Center and it cause damage as a result, you have to responsible by paying for the damage.

1  Meeting Space will be able to accommodate 50 persons at its maximum.

2  For Member of GEN, the rental fees will be charged 50,000 MMK for whole day use (8 hours) and 30,000 MMK for half-day (4 hours).

3  Facilities the included in the meeting rental service are – Tissue Boxes, 10 Flip Charts, 2 Flip Chart Stands, 1 White Board, 1 Projector and Projecting Screen, Air- Conditioning and Water Cooler, 10 Rectangular tables and 50 chairs.

4  The setting of the meeting will be set up in advance by Resource Center Staff according to the requests that filled out in the Resource Center Request Form.

5  Renter is allow to use the copier machine for FREE printing and copying of up to 10 A4 sheets (20 pages) ONLY. If exceeds, the fees will be charged 25 MMK per sheet (two-sided copying/printing), and 20 MMK per sheet (one sided copying/printing).

6  Meeting Space Request Form is required to be submitted at least 5 working days prior to the meeting date.

7  The items that renter will utilize at the meeting should be made checking the condition of the item along with the responsible person of resource person before utilizing.

8  The item such as Project, Projecting Screen, Air-Conditioner, Water Coolers and Blinds that are provided at Resource Center should be utilized cautiously, and responsible person of Resource Center should be informed any of the above item is needed to be re-positioned for different meeting setting.

9  Using double tape on the walls and blinds at the Resource Center are strictly prohibited.

10  Trashes generated during the meeting are responsible to tidy up by the renter, and the meeting materials must be restored after the meeting. It is required to checked and returned the items/facilities of Resource Center in good condition to responsible person of the Resource Center.

11  If any facilities or materials of the Resource Center are mal-functioned, destroyed or lost while being used, the renter must pay the equivalent price agreed by the Resource Center.

1  Resource materials are GEN’s distributive research books and publications.

2  If you want to use GEN’s resource materials, you have to send IEC request form 5 days in advance of working days.

3  If you are INGO or TRP, you can take ten set of GEN publications with free charge. But, If you request more than ten set, you have to pay for (GEN specified amount + transportation) and also one-third of total amount in advance on requested date as a deposit.

4  If you are NGO or CSO, you can take thirty set of GEN publications with free charge. But, If you request more than thirty set, you have to pay for (GEN specified amount + transportation) and also one-third of total amount in advance on requested date as a deposit.

5  You have to pay the rest of the payment on the date you come and take the publications or books.

6  If your requested quantity is less than 50, you can get them at GEN resource center by yourself and if your requested quantity is more than 50, you can get them at GEN warehouse by yourself.

7  If you are(requesters) outside of Yangon, we can deliver our publications to your places. But the requester covers the cost of transportation charges, labor charges and delivery charges.

8  Even though there is no limited on your request for the items of event and campaign materials, we will decide the available distribution amount on our budget situation and distribution items amount in that particular events.

9  If you want to reprint GEN’s publication, you can request the following information.

-Name of publication
-Purpose
-Number of copies
-Target area
-Audience

You have to sign in our GEN contract for the approval and credit of the reprinting process.

For Non-Members

1  To access service of the Resource Center, register with NRC card or Driver License or any other ID card which is included ID photo.

2  The Books are only allowed to read inside the library.

3  You are allowed to copy 25 % pages from the books. You can copy and/or print up to 10 pages, 20 columns (A4 size) of each the book. The copier fees for each two sided A4 will be costed 25 kyats and one sided A4 will be costed 20 kyats.

4  You are provided to utilize Desktop Computers at the Library and you are allowed to use for 3 hours straight.
