Gender Equality Network conducted the Policy Dialogue Workshops with CSOs from project areas such as Kachin State, Kayin State, and Mandalay Division respectively during the month of November 2020 via Zoom.

This is the second and third time of organizing the policy dialogue workshops intend to solve the challenges with gender policy and regional issues. For the opening speech, the project manager Daw Lei Lei Min explained the background of GEN and regional activities of the project, and then, Policy Dialogue Coordinator Daw Mai Thida Aye Kyaw clarified the purpose of the workshop. During the one-day workshops, the participant CSOs discussed the regional issue and how to link and work with Local Authorities and Members of Parliament for outcome gender policy in the respective states.

Moreover, Daw Mya Marlar Soe, Regional Director (Department of Social Welfare), started with the opening speech in the second policy dialogue workshop in Kayin State. There were (92) participants from the respective regional CSOs and MPs in total (Male - 51, Female - 41, Total - 92). Heaps of thanks to all of the participant and donor organization.
